Have you ever heard of type 1.5 diabetes?

Type 1.5 Diabetes Mellitus

Also known as: latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (LADA). It mainly affects adults over the age of 30. The symptoms are exactly the same as type 2 diabetes. The difference is that one of the mechanisms is that an unbalanced immune system attacks the beta cells in the pancreas, causing insulin deficiency, similar to type 1 diabetes.

-

Causes of immune imbalance include:

*gene

*Antigens in specific foods, e.g., gluten and lectins in wheat, casein in dairy products, nightshade family

*Common infections include Helicobacter pylori, hepatitis C

*Environmental pollution sources: heavy metals, plasticizers

-

In addition, excessive intake of refined starch in the diet, lack of adequate fiber, causing chronic inflammation in the body, will also increase the risk of the disease. It's called [Type 1.5 diabetes] because it has features of both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

-

[Type 1.5 diabetes] needs to go beyond the usual way of treating type 2 diabetes, Instead of just giving blood sugar lowering drugs, it is important to reduce the damage caused by the unbalanced immune system to beta cells, and try to find out the cause of the above imbalance, in order to help 1.5 diabetics recover their health!
